Landscape Industry Certified Manager (formerly known as CLP)


Exams may be taken in a computer based format at PSI Testing Centers (click here to learn more).

The examination is a 4-hour multiple choice test. Candidates are expected to be a landscape contractor business owner or manager. The subjects tested represent the skill set needed to successfully run a business.

There are 300 questions (335 for Interior candidates) divided among 7 sections. Each section must be passed with a score of 70% or better. When a section is passed, it is earned and candidates may take as many or few sections at a time as they decide.

The topics, number of questions and time allowed for each section are:

60 — Interior Production/Operations and Horticulture 45 minutes
55 — Human Resources 45 minutes
45 — Leadership and Corporate Citizenship 30 minutes
55 — Marketing and Sales Management 30 minutes
20 — Risk, Law and Contracts 15 minutes
30 — Strategic Planning 30 minutes

How to Register

Download the application, complete the form and fax it to Professional Landcare Network with credit card payment information (indicate Mastercard, Visa, Discovery or American Express) or mail to PLANET with a check made payable to Professional Landcare Network for the full amount of the application fee.
