PLANET presents a new bilingual Safety Tips Sheet on safe lifting

A new bilingual (English/Spanish) Safety Tips Sheet, entitled Reducing the Risk of Lifting Injuries in the Landscape and Horticultural Industries, is now available. This one-page tailgate training sheet, developed through our PLANET-OSHA Alliance, is being made available to the entire green industry. It follows an earlier tips sheet, also available for downloading in both languages, on the topic of reducing slip and trip injuries. Strains caused by manual material handling, slip and trip injuries, motor vehicle crashes, and amputations were four of the major hazards in our industry specifically identified in the PLANET-OSHA Alliance agreement. PLANET will develop another bilingual tips sheet later this fall on the topic of defensive driving.
