L’Enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C., is center of PLANET’s Legislative Day and Renewal & Remembrance activities

HERNDON, Va., May 6, 2008 — The conveniently located L’Enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C., will once again be the center of action for the Professional Landcare Network’s (PLANET’s) Legislative Day on the Hill and Renewal & Remembrance at Arlington National and Historic Congressional Cemeteries, scheduled to take place July 20–22, 2008. Through these events, PLANET members have an opportunity to visit with their members of Congress, bringing their collective voices to the Hill in an effort to influence the legislative process. On the morning of July 21, 2008, they also have the opportunity to help beautify the grounds at Arlington National and Historic Congressional cemeteries, some of the most cherished and hallowed grounds in the United States.

Following the Renewal & Remembrance activities, Fred Barnes, a veteran political reporter and commentator, executive editor of The Weekly Standard, and one of the hosts of “The Beltway Boys” on the Fox News channel will inform and entertain members with his invaluable insight about the many changes affecting the nation’s political landscape. In preparation for their visit to the Hill on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, attendees will then be briefed by political experts on the key industry issues and given an overview of what to expect during the Day on the Hill and how to maximize their legislative visits.
