PLANET MAKES CHANGES WITHIN ITS MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE

HERNDON, Va., July 1, 2009 — In keeping with its vision to be the respected leader and voice of the green industry, the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) has expanded its roster of member types. PLANET membership will now include franchisee members. To qualify as a franchisee member at least 50 percent of the franchisee’s annual sales revenue must be from the franchise operation. The franchisee joins PLANET based on its sales volume and will realize a 40 percent discount if the corporate franchisor is a PLANET member.

PLANET has also incorporated dues changes in two existing membership categories. One membership category change includes the restructuring of PLANET’s dealer member dues. Unlike the past three-tier dues structure based on sales volume, dealer members can now join at a flat rate of $165. The other category change gives a 15 percent discount on branch membership dues to green industry service provider and supplier companies that join or renew 20 or more branch locations.
