Legislative Day on the Hill and Renewal & Remembrance at Arlington National and Historic Congressional Cemeteries
July 12–14, 2009

This three-day event provides members the opportunity to learn about and join in proactive advocacy on Capitol Hill, and volunteer their skills to maintaining the hallowed grounds of Arlington National and Historic Congressional cemeteries. The visits to Capitol Hill provide an opportunity for face-to-face meetings with members of Congress to discuss important issues facing the green industry.

Green Industry Conference
October 28–31, 2009
Louisville Marriott Downtown/Kentucky Expo Center • Louisville, Kentucky
This intensive four-day educational event offers a wealth of learning opportunities, ranging from finance/business, leadership, and human resources to landscape management, safety, and industry recruiting, for green industry professionals. It’s held in conjunction with GIE+EXPO, where the latest green industry tools, supplies, and equipment are showcased indoors on the exhibit floor and outdoors during demonstration sessions.

Executive Forum

In 2010, the Summer Leadership Meeting will be held in conjunction with the Executive Forum. During this time, forward-thinking owners and managers from diverse companies will share five days of activities, facilitated learning, and fun in the brand new, Aria Resort & Casino. Members with commitment, ideas, and passion also have the opportunity to guide the green industry’s future by helping to determine association priorities and to take on some critical committee or leadership roles.

Student Career Days
April 8–11, 2010
Chattahoochee Technical College, North Metro Campus • Atlanta, Georgia
This four-day event brings together some 1,000 college students enrolled in interior/exterior horticulture, landscape, and lawn care programs from colleges and universities nationwide. It’s not only an opportunity for students to hear from green industry leaders, network, and more important use what they’ve learned in the classroom in real-world competitive events, but also for green industry companies to observe the students in action. The Career Fair provides green industry employers unparalleled opportunities to meet and recruit next-generation green industry professionals.
