OPTIONAL WORKSHOPS AT GREEN INDUSTRY CONFERENCE

HERNDON, Va., August 1, 2006
— The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is pleased to announce that participants in its Green Industry Conference (GIC), November 1–4, 2006, in Columbus, Ohio, may take part in three optional workshops. These ticketed workshops are designed to help green industry owners, managers, and employees achieve business excellence through understanding their customers; gaining exposure to innovative ideas, tools, and techniques; and through implementing lean management strategies and tactics.

Tom Oyler, of Wilson-Oyler Group, will lead the “Looking Through the Eyes of the Customer” workshop. In this dynamic session, Oyler will share the secrets and systems that have enabled him to build and own businesses in the landscape, real estate, retail, and manufacturing and distribution industries. Attendees will learn to manage clients and raise customers’ willingness to pay, while capturing additional market share.

Participants in the “Achieving Business Excellence” workshop will gain exposure to the most innovative ideas, tools, and methods for improving their organizations’ revenues, profitability, and market share. John Spence, of John Spence, LLC, will lead this workshop, using his extensive business experience and research of the best practices at top corporations around the world, to expose attendees to the most innovative ideas and methods for improving revenues and profits.

The “Working Smarter With Lean Tools” workshop will be hosted by Jim Paluch of JP Horizons, Inc. Workshop attendees will learn how other companies have eliminated waste, added value to customers, and made their businesses more profitable by implementing lean management.
