Contact: Kirsten Combs Phone: (703) 736-9666 E-mail: kirstencombs@landcarenetwork.org For Immediate Release MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY HOSTS PLANET STUDENT CAREER DAYS HERNDON, Va., August 1, 2006 — The Professional Landcare Network’s (PLANET) 31st annual Student Career Days (SCD) will be held March 29–April 1, 2007, at Michigan State University, in Lansing, Michigan. SCD is an annual three-day competitive event among students enrolled in horticulture programs from colleges and universities across the country. The students have the chance to compete in events that are directly related to the skills necessary for a career in the green industry. PLANET expects 800-900 students to participate in the event. In addition to the competitive events, PLANET’s Student Career Days offers future green industry employees the opportunity to network with potential employers and provides a forum for businesses to recruit top talent. Since 1977, SCD has grown to become the largest recruitment event in the industry, offering both recruiters and students a prime opportunity to further their future success.
