NEW FORMAT FOR 2007 EXECUTIVE FORUM

HERNDON, Va., October 2, 2006 — The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is
pleased to announce a new format for its 2007 Executive Forum, which will take place on
February 15–18, 2007, at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, Florida. The new format will combine the concepts of high-level academic ideas, the practical insights of some of the most successful green industry companies, and green industry leaders’ business examples from real-world scenarios.

Elliott N. Weiss, professor of business adminstration at top-ranked Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, will guide forum attendees through an experiential workshop that exemplifies the challenges and successes of applying lean management principles using
LEGO ® building blocks. His game, “Gazogle,” tackles lean management concepts and helps attendees observe management change in a real setting.

Participants will learn Ariens Co’s. successes in implementing lean management and how it has teamed up with green industry professionals to bring lean to the green industry. This session includes real-world business facts of the wins, sacrifices, and cultural shifts that occur when lean is introduced. Participants will learn from their industry peers how they’ve adopted lean principles into their organizations. You’ll hear about the wins, challenges, overcoming cultural shifts and the journey of getting better through continuous improvement.

Attendees will also network with green industry leaders at the 2007 Executive Forum, which has added more informal networking receptions. Attendees will also have a chance to participate in nightly networking receptions, play in the golf tournament at Raptor Bay Golf Club, tour the Everglades, take a cocktail cruise, or enjoy a fishing excursion.
