PLANET WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

HERNDON, Va., October 2, 2006 — The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is pleased to announce that James H. Johnson has joined the PLANET staff as director of products and services.

Johnson has an extensive personnel and professional background in working with green industry programs. As a high school student, he was a very active member in the Future Farmers of America (FFA). He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness Management from Texas A & M University. Also, he has a Masters Degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A & M, concentrating in agribusiness management and marketing. After graduating college, he worked for the Department of Agriculture as an International Marketing Specialist.

With more than 13 years of experience in working with associations in the DC Metropolitan area, Johnson looks forward a successful partnership with directing PLANET’s products and services department. He started his association career with the National Confectioners Association (NCA)/Chocolate Manufacturers Association (CMA) a national organization representing the confectionery industry. Prior to joining PLANET, Johnson was the executive director for the American Council of Engineering Companies of Metropolitan Washington (ACEC/MW).
