PLANET ANNOUNCES ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENT AWARD RECIPIENTS

Herndon, VA, October 1, 2008 — The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is proud to announce the recipients of PLANET’s 39th Annual Environmental Improvement Awards. Of the 143 projects entered in this year’s awards program, 105 were recognized with an award. The awards breakdown includes four Decade Awards, 48 Grand Awards, 32 Merit Awards, and 21 Distinction Awards.

The awards program, which is open to only PLANET members, reflects the association’s commitment to creating and preserving the beauty of the landscape and is designed to reward independent landscape, lawn care, and interior plantscaping professionals who execute superior projects.

Special thanks to the judges Bruce Moore Jr., Eastern Land Management, Inc., Will Spiegelberg, CLP, of Spiegelberg Landscape Design, Inc., and Brad Tabke, CLP, of Quercus Landscapes, Inc., as well as Awards Committee Chair Bruce Allentuck, Allentuck Landscaping Company and Awards Committee Co-chair Bill Horn, CLP, CLT, American Civil Constructors, Inc.

Through a special multimedia show, award recipients will be honored at the PLANET Green Industry Conference Awards Banquet on October 25, 2008, in Louisville, Kentucky.
