ONLY THREE WEEKS ‘TIL THE 2008 GREEN INDUSTRY CONFERENCE IN LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY
HERNDON, Va., October 1, 2008 — The countdown has begun for the Professional Landcare Network Green Industry Conference (GIC), the country’s premier annual conference for the green industry, October 22–25, 2008, in Louisville, Kentucky. Held in conjunction with the GIE+EXPO, which features more than 500 exhibits, GIC offers something for everyone: dynamic educational sessions led by industry experts; plenty of networking opportunities, including the every popular Breakfast With Champions and nightly receptions; and fun events such as a live benefit auction, facility tour, and free concerts. Former Super Bowl-winning Head Coach of the Baltimore Ravens (1997–2007) Brian Billick will be the keynote speaker at this year’s GIC. With a reputation for being an expert motivator and strategist, his address promises to be a great kickoff to a GIC with lots of new features. There’s a new certification track that replaces the full-day Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) certification review session with review sessions interspersed throughout the conference schedule. There’s the opportunity for members to pose their challenging questions to some of the industry’s most seasoned minds during an Ask the Experts event. And, in addition to the new products and services showcased on the GIE+EXPO trade show floor, members will have the chance during several hands-on workshops to observe how-to applications and gain valuable hands-on training on the equipment.
