                                         DAVID J. FRANK LANDSCAPE CONTRACTING, INC.,
                    INCREASES AEF SCHOLARSHIP FUND DONATION TO AMBASSADOR LEVEL

HERNDON, Va., November 2, 2006 — The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is pleased to announce that longtime PLANET member David J. Frank Landscape Contracting, Inc., has increased its annual donation to the AEF Scholarship Fund from $10,000 to $25,000. With this additional contribution, the company is now recognized as an AEF Ambassador. The AEF Ambassador Crystal was presented to Frank at this year's Green Industry Conference in Columbus, Ohio.

The AEF fund was formed to award scholarships and fund educational activities for the landscape industry. AEF’s mission is to promote and advance the landscape services industry by supporting educational excellence. AEF Ambassadors are entitled to name and establish the criteria for their scholarships.

Already a member of the AEF board, Frank recognizes the importance of the scholarship to the future of the green industry. “It’s critical to the future of our business and critical to the future of the industry to cultivate professionals,” he says. “Well-trained people are integral to our success, and we hope to ensure the quality of the upcoming workforce through these scholarships.”

He also believes that his company’s increased contribution was necessary to match the impact  it has on the industry. “We initially made a commitment for $10,000,” he says, “and as I got more involved on the board, I realized it wasn’t representative of our size and participation in the industry, and we were happy to reconfigure our pledge to match that level of participation.”

Founded in 1959, David J. Frank Landscaping, Inc., specializes in architecture, new construction, renovation, maintenance, irrigation, interiorscape, and nursery services. The largest firm of its kind in Wisconsin, the Germantown-based company employs more than 400 professionals in five departments. They utilize the latest computer design technologies, job-specific equipment, green engineering, facility improvements, and quality personnel to provide landscape services throughout the Milwaukee metropolitan area, Madison, and Fox Valley.
