PLANET INTRODUCES NEW MEMBERSHIP CATEGORY FOR INDUSTRY DEALERS

HERNDON, Va., November 5, 2007 — The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is pleased to announce that green industry dealers can now become PLANET members in its newly created “dealer” membership category. A dealer member is any individual or firm selling, but not producing, to an ultimate end-user a product or equipment for use in the green and outdoor industries. PLANET’s other members include green industry providers, suppliers, affiliates, state/regional associations, students, and student chapters.

“Having industry dealers active in PLANET is essential for the continued growth of our market,” says Ken Taylor of John Deere. “Dealers can no longer just focus on features and benefits — they need to understand their customer’s customer. In fact, dealer membership is so important that our company plans to give incentives to our dealers to join PLANET.”

By becoming a part of PLANET’s expansive network of green industry professionals, dealer members will receive pertinent industry-specific information that will impact their business planning; discounts on seminars, conferences, and events; free listings on the PLANET Web site and in the Who’s Who buyer’s guide; tools to promote their affiliation with PLANET; unparalleled networking; legislative representation; payroll service discounts; human resource, public relations, safety, and legal consultation services; and long-distance phone service discounts, to name a few.
