PLANET MEMBERS RECOGNIZED FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE WORK

HERNDON, Va., November 3, 2008 — The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is pleased to announce the recipients of PLANET’s 2008 Community Service Recognition Awards. The purpose of the program is to recognize PLANET members that have demonstrated leadership through their dedication and contribution to the good of their communities. This year’s award recipients and their projects are:

• AAA Landscape, Phoenix, Arizona, for AACM Annual Outreach Project
• Bever Landscaping, Forest Lake, Minnesota, for Schofield Memorial Monument
• Haase Landscape, Inc., Spokane, Washington, for Ultimate Yard Makeover
•  Jacobsen Landscape Design & Construction, Inc., Midland Park, New Jersey, for Extreme Makeover of Shiloh Bible Camp/Retreat Center
• Klausing Group, Lexington, Kentucky, for 1% for the Community
• Poynter Landscape and Construction, Ballwin, Missouri, for GreenCare for Troops
• Southland Landscape Corp., Charleston, South Carolina, for Gates House Project

Community service projects are eligible for the award if five or more company employees participate in the project. The projects can be green-industry related (i.e., interior plantscaping, landscaping, or lawn care) or not related to the green industry (i.e., walks/runs, raising funds for the community, blood drives, and so forth).
