CAREER FAIR BOOTHS AVAILABLE AT 2007 STUDENT CAREER DAYS

Herndon, Va., December 1, 2006 — The Professional Landcare Network’s (PLANET’s) Career Fair, to be held in conjunction with Student Career Days (SCD), is consistently one of the most popular recruiting events of the year for both students and green industry companies alike.       The 31st  Annual SCD will be hosted by Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan,
March 29–April 1, 2007.

Touted as the “largest gathering of potential qualified recruits,” SCD draws the best green industry students to this interactive competitive and networking event. More than 800 students enrolled in landscape contracting and horticultural programs at two-year and four-year colleges and universities will take part in 24 competitive events, have the chance to network with industry professionals, and can interview for internships and prospective jobs at the Career Fair. The three-day event is the best chance for company managers to see the students in action and to talk to them about future career opportunities.

Career Fair booth registrations are now being accepted and are discounted if registration occurs by the early-bird deadline of February 15, 2007. Registration for a Career Fair booth is separate from all other SCD registrations and includes participation in the Career Fair only. Reserving booth space allows company representatives to display information about their companies and the services they provide and to conduct face-to-face interviews with the best and brightest students coming out of green industry programs. Companies looking to hire that special new employee are likely to find that person at SCD.
