 Problem 4.04 - Mainline Installation Mainline installation involves important steps in the success of the irrigation system. Your employer wants to see that you can follow each step before you are sent out to a work site and will provide drawings for your review. You will only need to show once that you can safely and correctly complete a solvent weld of high-pressure pipe, the remainder can be dry-fitted. The next challenge is to assemble the backflow prevention device. You only need to show once that you can correctly seal and tighten one threaded fitting. Two views of the quick coupler valve are in the Test Book to help with the installation of a remote control valve. Pay attention to the scale on the irrigation plan.
