Vision Statement

The PLANET Academic Excellence Foundation will be recognized as the leading educational foundation in the green industry.

Every contribution makes a difference

Since its inception, the PLANET Academic Excellence Foundation (PLANET AEF), formerly the ALCA Educational Foundation, has funded educational excellence by awarding scholarships to students of the green industry. Committed to the advancement of green industry services, the Foundation raised more than $1 million during the initial launch year through the generous support of individual landscape contractors, industry suppliers, and from the students themselves. Here’s what we can accomplish

These future leaders will define the standards of professionalism and use their education to meet inevitable challenges. We have an opportunity to show our students that we support them in a meaningful way by providing them with financial means to move ahead. Every contribution counts. The Foundation is a way to make a difference in the green industry and to be recognized as a visionary who continues to help the industry grow.

Please support our industry’s Foundation

Your gift to the PLANET AEF will strengthen our students, so they will succeed and, in turn, become leaders who are well prepared for all facets of landscape and lawn care contracting in this rapidly changing environment. Looking to the future is critical and you can play a vital role.

Each year the PLANET AEF awards scholarships to students who are enrolled in the landscape contracting and horticulture programs at two-year and four-year colleges and universities across the nation.

The 2010 scholarships and educator of the year award will be presented during Student Career Days, which will be held April 8-11, 2010, at Chattahoochee Technical College, North Metro Campus, in Atlanta, GA.
