Student/Employer Roundtable Recruiting Session

PLANET’s Student/Employer Roundtable Recruiting Session will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. during the Green Industry Conference (GIC) in Louisville, Kentucky. During this recruiting event, employers will be stationed at roundtables, and the students will select employers with which to network. A breakfast will be from 9:30 – 10:00 a.m.: at 10:00 a.m. networking will begin. Every 10 minutes, with 5 minute intervals between each round, the students will select new tables and network with new employers; students will have the opportunity to complete six rounds. Prior to the conference, the students will receive employer/company information to aid with their selections. Participation in the event will be first-come, first-served!

I sent our company President and one of our Operations Managers for their first time to the roundtable session. They were unsure of strategies for success in this new environment. Well, a student from SUNY/Cobleskill was very interested in an internship in the Northwest and he made a point of hunting us down. We are just finishing up his internship experience with us this summer and it's been a win-win! We value the opportunities that PLANET offers for us to expose students/faculty to our company.
