PLANET Position Statements
Legislative Day on the Hill Position Statements
Each July PLANET holds its Legislative Day on the Hill event. Prior to this event, the Government Affairs Committee determines the national issues that are the most important to the industry and our members. We conduct briefings on the issues for Legislative Day attendees and help them set up appointments with their legislators to discuss the issues. Many times the issues are ongoing but are updated with new developments and a list of any bills that support our position. Following are the issues papers used for this year's event:

Other PLANET Position Statements
The Government Affairs and other PLANET committees must deal with many issues related to legislation, regulation, and public opinion. In order to keep our membership informed, PLANET committees create a description of each issue and, as each of the issues arise, their recommended PLANET position. These positions "papers" are presented to and voted on by the PLANET Board of Directors, and as a result, they become PLANET's official position statements. Once approved, these statements are posted here in the legislative area of the Web site and are available to the membership, trade press, and other media.
