IT’S TIME TO GROW AT PLANET’S 2011 GREEN INDUSTRY CONFERENCE

HERNDON, Va., Sept., 30 2011 — The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) Green Industry Conference (GIC), to be held October 26–29, 2011, in Louisville, Kentucky, brings several new opportunities and features to the table to help members grow their businesses in this challenging economy. The educational sessions and features at GIC will show one how to change, evolve, and grow.

New this year, GIC attendees will have the opportunity to give back by attending PLANET’s inaugural community service initiative, PLANET Gives Back. Volunteers will enhance four facilities in downtown Louisville by planting, pruning, mulching, installing water features, and planting turfgrass where necessary.

GIC will once again feature Specialty Group Thursday, which provides networking and educational sessions targeted by specialty group (lawn care, design/build/installation, irrigation & water management, and landscape management) and a virtual facility tour of two top-notch facilities — Chapel Valley Landscape and Jacobsen Landscape Design & Construction. As always, GIC attendees are encouraged to experience the GIE+EXPO to see and test drive the latest in equipment, products, and technology.

Attendees will be inspired by this year’s keynote speaker, David Zerfoss, who will reveal the “10 Rules to Simply Your Life” and how to become a better leader by choosing a more powerful, new way  of “Be-ing”; awed by the award-winning work of colleagues displayed during the PLANET Awards Presentation and Reception; and encouraged to support the PLANET Academic Excellence Foundation (PLANET AEF) and PLANET’s legislative activities through participation in an online auction as well as the annual live auction.
