Glenn H. Jacobsen is the Founder and President of Jacobsen Landscape Design & Construction located in Midland Park, New Jersey, which celebrates more than 34 years in the industry. Glenn has served a number of leadership roles within PLANET, including PLANET AEF Ambassador, PLANET Founding Trailblazer, member of the Design/Build/Installation Specialty Group and a PLANET board member. Within the industry, he is actively involved as a trainer and mentor of students in the internship programs of SUNY Cobleskill and Penn State University, as well as an advisory board member of Bergen Community College Horticulture Program. Most recently, Glenn spearheaded the "PLANET Gives Back" community service project in Louisville, KY during the 2011 and 2012 Green Industry Conference.

With more than 20 years of experience in all facets of landscape design, installation, and maintenance, Jim McCutcheon is an active member of the landscape industry. Within PLANET, Jim has served as the chairman for the Crystal Ball Subcommittee and is currently the immediate past-president for the PLANET Academic Excellence Foundation (PLANET AEF) board of directors.

Norman Goldenberg currently focuses on Government Affairs and Industry Relations at TruGreen. In addition to his 50 years of business experience in the pest control and lawn care industry, he has been a member of the PLANET board of directors since 2005, chairman for the Government Affairs Committee, has served on the PLCAA board of directors (1992-1997 and 2002-2004), and is past president of the National Pest Management Association. He is a member of the Project Evergreen board of directors (2004-2011), currently serving as the immediate past-president of Project Evergreen. He is also a Board Certified Entomologist.

Phil Allen is program director for the Landscape Management Degree Program at BYU and has more than 18 years of industry involvement. He has been a member of the PLANET board of directors since 2008. He has served on numerous PLANET committees, such as Student Career Days, Accreditation, Industry Recruitment, Education, and Governance. He was named the 2006 PLANET AEF Outstanding Educator of the Year, and currently is a PLANET Educator Trailblazer.

Jason Becker, Landscape Industry Certified Manager

Jason Becker is Caterpillar's trade association manager and handles all association partnerships and activities for Caterpillar. Jason grew up in a small town and spent his years before college cutting neighborhood lawns. Upon graduating from Iowa State in 2001, Jason was immediately hired at Caterpillar and has been involved with landscaping associations every year since. Jason has a passion for leadership and in finding creative solutions to customer and association needs. Jason has been involved in the strategy and planning of business education for PLANET and state association members for the past two years and is currently part of the DBI Specialty Group.

Michael Byrne has more than 25 years of business experience and has served in several leadership positions within ALCA and PLANET. He was ALCA's 2003 president, served on the ALCA Exterior Council, and chaired the Awards Committee.

Jon Cundiff

Jon Cundiff has been in the landscape industry since 1976 as a member of the Kansas City Royals. In 1987 Jon and Vicky, his wife, started up Turf’s Up Lawn service in the Kansas City metro area. In 2000, Cundiff joined the Weed Man organization, and is currently a sub –franchisor for the mid-west region of the U.S. in charge of business development and dealer support. Locally, Cundiff has been an active member of Mid America Green Industry Council for 20 years, 10 of which were on the board of directors. Nationally, Cundiff is a member of PLANET and served 10 years on the PLCAA board of directors as well as a six-year member of GIE board of directors. Cundiff currently participates in the PLANET Trailblazer program as well as the Lawn Care Specialty Group.

Joy Diaz
Executive Vice President, Land Care, Inc.

Joy has more than 28 years of business experience, with the last 17 years being within Land Care Incorporated, a landscaping company she owns with her husband in N. Las Vegas, Nevada. Because of Joy’s love of public speaking and interacting with people, you will often find her communicating about educational topics including marketing, human resources, and public administration. She has been very active within PLANET over the past two decades, serving on several committees, and is currently the chair for the Membership Committee. She is also currently on the Board of Directors for the newly formed Southern Nevada Landscape Association and an active member of the Nevada Landscape Association.

Tom Fochtman, Landscape Industry Certified Manager

Tom Fochtman is a 35 year landscape industry veteran. He is the founder and CEO of Ceibass Venture Partners, a consulting firm specializing on exit strategies for landscape industry companies. In addition to serving on PLANET’s board of directors, he is currently the President of the PLANET Academic Excellence Foundation (PLANET AEF) board of directors.

Bill Horn has more than 30 years of business experience and has served in several leadership positions within PLANET. He was the chairman of the Landscape Management Specialty Group (2008-2010) and currently serves on the GIE board of directors, PLANET Safety and Risk Management Committee, and is a PLANET Trailblazer. Within the industry, he is a member of the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA).

Scott Jamieson, Landscape Industry Certified Technician

Scott is Vice President of Bartlett Tree Experts. He leads Bartlett’s national recruiting and corporate partnerships efforts and also heads the Bartlett Inventory Solutions team in providing innovative and technologically advanced tree management plans to clients across the country. Prior to joining Bartlett in 2008, Scott was president and CEO of a national tree care firm with revenues of over $50 million. Scott serves as a director on a number of boards including: The Alliance for Community Trees, the Midwest Ecological Landscape Association, The Morton Arboretum and Openlands in Chicago. He is the past chair of the board for the Tree Care Industry Association and a former board member for the National Safety Council.

Brett Lemcke, Landscape Industry Certified Manager

Brett Lemcke has been working in the industry since the young age of 15 for the family business founded by his father and uncle. He is currently responsible for the company and the day to day operations of the company as well as the management of the Landscape Management Division. R.M. Landscape has been a full service landscape firm for over 38 years and has been an active member of PLANET and the legacy association ALCA for over 25 years. Brett has been an active member in a number of committees and most recently was the chair for the Industry Recruiting committee and the chair of the Student Career Days Committee.

Paul has been in the green industry for over 30 years with both green industry service and supplier companies. In those years, he has served in roles ranging from a Lawn Service Technician to a Territory Sales Rep to a Sales Vice President. In addition he has served on several state and national industry association boards of directors. He is a past president of Project Evergreen where he currently serves on the Executive Committee. He is also the former Chair of the Government Affairs Committee for PLANET.

Michael McShane, Landscape Industry Certified Manager

Michael McShane is the President of Green Source Solutions, LLC, located in Fogelsville, PA. Michael is past-president/CEO of the 100-person company, Plantique, located in Allentown, PA. While managing the financial, personnel and marketing aspects of Green Source, Michael is constantly looking to expand upon his leadership and management skills. He is past chair of the Design/Build/Installation Specialty Group and PLANET Trailblazer. Michael has served on a number of PLANET committees. Within the industry, he is a member of the Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association (PLNA). Michael has a strong commitment to his community and is actively involved in numerous local organizations.

Sandy Munley
Executive Director, Ohio Landscape Association, Inc.
Specialty Area: State Association

Sandy has more than 20 years experience as the Executive Director of the Ohio Landscape Association. She is passionate about PLANET certification and has served on various certification subcommittees and task forces. She is a long time member of the Government Affairs committee and participant in Legislative Day on the Hill as well as Renewal and Remembrance. Sandy served on the ALCA/PLANET board of directors from 2001 to 2005 and has participated in several other committees, events and leadership meetings over the years.

Roger Phelps, Landscape Industry Certified Manager

A Navy veteran, Roger Phelps joined STIHL in 2001 and is responsible for sponsorships, public relations, event marketing, social media, and trade shows. Among his responsibilities are production of the STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series seen on ESPN2; event marketing; and PR relationships, such as the STIHL Dogs and Logs World Championships, National FFA Foundation, and TV personality P. Allen Smith; and association relationships like the National Association of State Park Directors, ISA, and PLANET. He is also part of STIHL's environmental stewardship team.

David Zerfoss
CEO, The Zerfoss Group
Specialty Area: Outside Board of Director

Dave Zerfoss is the CEO of The Zerfoss Group and serves as a consultant to think tanks and businesses alike. He shares his broad business knowledge and the importance of understanding a strategic thinking framework in order to produce a simplified, focused roadmap to the company's desired future. Dave served as board member for 15 years and two times as chairman of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI). Concurrently, he also served as board member for 12 years and chairman for the Portable Power Equipment Manufacturers Association (PPEMA). He participated with OPEI, PLANET, and PGMS in merging the two largest outdoor power equipment and landscaping trade shows into one successful trade show. He also negotiated the successful merger of two industry associations, PPEMA into OPEI. Today, Dave is a chair for Vistage International, the world's leading chief executive organization. He leads groups of CEO's from non-competing companies which form peer groups / board of advisors.
