Liu Fang Yuan, the Garden of Flowing Fragrance, is the largest Chinese garden outside China. Designed to create, preserve, and promote the rich and complex traditions of Chinese culture, this authentic garden is a special place for visitors to feel inspired by the elegant harmony of nature and poetry. Thanks to visionary landscape architects and artisans from China and the United States, inspired historians, expert gardeners, and generous benefactors, Liu Fang Yuan reflects today an exceptional combination of learning and beauty.
The Japanese Garden is arguably the most popular spot at The Huntington,” says James Folsom, the Telleen/Jorgensen Director of the Botanical Gardens. “It is a garden that functions on multiple levels at once. It’s a magical place, intimate and inspiring, yet at the same time it teaches us about Japan’s unique landscape traditions, craftsmanship, horticulture, and rituals.”

Are You Still Relevant?
Michael Burger, The Relevant Report
We all saw globally-recognized brands shrink or die during the recession. Conversely, we witnessed young, nimble companies swoop in to dominate market share.
Could that happen to you? Michael dissects the reasons for the staggering success stories-and he pinpoints the warning signs that were ignored by those who failed.
Remaining Relevant (to your customers and team members) is the ONLY way to substantially grow your organization during a recovery. If you're relevant, you can take market share away from your competition. But it won't be easy. You will have to accelerate your "A" Game to earn that market share. And, you will have to re-double your efforts to retain the base you already have. Michael unveils inspiring case studies that span the landscape of retail, manufacturing, B2B, construction, and healthcare and will highlight lessons from his upcoming book, The Urgent Company.

Four Generations: Workplace and Marketplace
Cam Marston, Expert on the Generations
Everyone likes the same type of sales style and the same type of service...right? Nothing could be further from the truth. The truth is that what your sales team doesn't know about the four generations impacts the bottom line. Each generation, with their unique values, defines a quality sales or service experience in their own unique way. What Gen X may prefer, Matures may think is outright rude. What Boomers define as "rapport building", Millennials may define as a waste of time.
Furthermore, employers and managers need to understand the attitudes and expectations of each of the four generations in their workplace so they can best work with each. The days of "treat everyone the same" are no longer with us, now we must accept the needs and desires of the individual.
This insightful and entertaining workshop introduces participants to the four generations of employees in today's workplace and how to work with and manage each.
Participants will learn:
- How the different generations make buying decisions and how to tailor your sales approach to each generation.
- How different generations define good customer service and how to deliver it.
- What management tactics work well with a generationally diverse workplace.
- The leadership threats each generation brings to the workplace and how to work through them.
- What to expect from the next generation of employee and customer
