PLANET TEAMS UP WITH A BETTER WAY 2 LEARN FINANCIALS TO BENEFIT PLANET AEF
HERNDON, Va., June 29, 2012 — The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is pleased to announce that it has teamed up with Jim Paluch of JP Horizons and well-known green industry financial expert Frank Ross to offer their A Better Way 2 Learn Financials online course, designed for lawn and landscape businesses. Some of the proceeds from the course will benefit the PLANET Academic Excellence Foundation (PLANET AEF) which provides college scholarships to horticulture students.
A Better Way 2 Learn Financials, which includes video instruction by Ross, provides advice and guidance to companies on budgeting, accounting, job tracking, pricing, and lead tracking and sales. The course provides companies with lesson plans, meeting agendas, virtual interaction with Ross and other experts on the subject, and the methodology that will enable them to communicate internally in regular financial sessions to accomplish their desired results.
Paluch, president of JP Horizons, Inc., is a nationally recognized business coach, consultant, and motivational speaker who has also had a successful career as a landscape architect, worked in sales, and developed residential communities in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
Ross is one of the country’s most highly regarded financial management and business strategies consultants in the construction industry. His in-depth work on several national industry financial studies, along with his more than 35 years of hands-on experience with hundreds of the most successful companies in the country, gives him insight into what companies need to do to become profitable and what steps they must take to sustain that profit. Ross is known for his innovative techniques in the areas of strategic planning, job pricing, and cash-flow management.
“We are very pleased that industry leaders like Jim Paluch and Frank Ross have made their course available with some of the proceeds benefiting PLANET AEF,” said PLANET AEF president Jim McCutcheon, Landscape Industry Certified Manager.
PLANET AEF was formed in 1998 to promote and advance the lawn care and landscape services industry by supporting academic excellence. Since its inception in 1998, the PLANET AEF, formerly the ALCA Educational Foundation, has given nearly $600,000 in scholarships and awards to 585 students.
