The competitive events and the Career Fair, March 23–26, 2006, will provide employers the opportunity to see the students in action and to talk to them about future career opportunities.

Avoiding four major safety hazards
A series of four bilingual (English/Spanish) Safety Tips Sheets are completed and available to the entire green industry. Each Safety Tips Sheet, developed as a product of the PLANET/OSHA Alliance, is a one-page script that can be downloaded from PLANET’s Web site and used to train workers on slip and trip injuries, lifting-related injuries, defensive driving to avoid motor vehicle crashes, and reducing the risk of amputations.

Powerful PAC is up and running
The Professional Landcare Network Political Action Committee (PAC) has been established and is accepting contributions. This simple, yet powerful, tool enables members to make their voices heard on Capitol Hill. By combining all PLANET members’ political contributions, the association will raise its legislative agenda several levels higher.

Network with your peers and locate green industry suppliers. Get involved to voice your opinion on legislation that is affecting your business, plus much more. PLANET welcomes new membership director
